Got into biking at 15 and never looked back. There was a time whilst the ankle-biters were growing up (no longer saddled with dull, boring, non-biking, accountancy type ex) when I was bikeless for some months and it was hell. I like European touring and rallies. Got several bikes - different types/sizes in various states from OK to 'needs attention' to 'basket case'. Preference for big European machinery.
Not into DIY even though I'm quite capable so don't expect me to except in emergency. You want a new kitchen? Feel free to buy a new kitchen and pay somebody else to fit it for you - I'll happily chill with the tube or music or work on the bikes with a beer or three instead thanks.
If you admire Randy Hickey then you and me will get along just fine.
